The outer fabric is more breathable than a completely windproof shell, allowing 6 CFM of airflow - just about noticeable in the strongest of winds while sacrificing little protection. Zones of gridded fleece around the core leaves your under-arms and the side panels uninsulated, letting you dump heat when working hard, without losing wind protection. A full-length zip offers extra venting capability, should you need it. The Morphosis can be worn over a base layer in warmer temperatures and high output activities like trail running, or layered over a fleece for colder conditions and slower work rates. With it's super light softshell-like construction, the Morphosis provides all the freedom of movement you need for climbing, hillwalking and riding.
Your Morphosis Vest uses a water repellent treatment (DWR) to fend off light showers. To keep your DWR in top condition, wash your vest regularly in pure soap or a specialist cleaner. You may also need to refresh the treatment about once or twice a year (depending on usage) using a reproofer. Using a spray-on reproofer maintains your vest’s wicking ability. Washing Instructions Wash on a delicate cycle at 30˚C or hand wash with lukewarm water. Use a technical wash product cleaner (like Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Wash) or pure soap. DO NOT use detergent, fabric conditioners or softeners. Rinse thoroughly in clean water. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat. Use a cool iron to reactivate the DWR.
