How to clean and season your Cast Iron Skillet. Step 1 - Rinse and remove any food attached to the pan. Scrub gently until clean. Step 2 - Dry the pan. We recommend placing in the oven to ensure this is fully dry. Step 3 - Spread a thin layer of cooking oil all over the pan and put the pan on a medium heat on the hob. Step 4 - Once steaming, turn off, leave to cool and wipe the pan clean of excess oil.
